Clifton W. 'Kiki' Price 1925 - Baseball, Basketball, Golf
Known as "Mr. Golf" in the state of Vermont, Kiki Price, a 1974 UVM Hall of Fame inductee, was not only a fine golfer in college and after graduation, he was also an outstanding basketball and baseball player at UVM who also played freshman football.
Before entering Vermont, Price was twice selected to the All-New England golf team and was selected captain the second year, the only Vermonter to achieve this honor. Price won the State Amateur golf championship four times and reached the finals 10 times in his 40 years as a competitor, and is the oldest player (55) ever to win the event. "Kiki" won his first state tournament in 1933 and the last one in 1960. Price also won the Burlington Country Club Championship 22 times and has won the State Senior Golf Association, and was its president in 1966.
For the last 20 years, Price has donated his services to teach golf at the Burlington Y.M.C.A. Price was also a member of the Executive Committee of UVM's Athletic Hall of Fame in its first year, 1969-70.
