Attending Practice
Vermont practices will be closed to the media unless otherwise specified by the Athletic Communications office. We will accept requests from media to attend practice. Please direct your request to the appropriate contact listed above.
Interview Policies
Interviews with student-athletes and coaches, other than those immediately following a contest, must be arranged through the Athletic Communications office so as not to interfere with the students' academic schedules. Student-athletes and staff reserve the right to decline interview requests. Please direct your request to the appropriate contact listed above.
Unless required as part of a rights-holder agreement, day of game interviews will not be granted until the conclusion of the contest.
For postgame interviews, there is generally a 10-minute cooling off period. Interviews will either be conducted on the playing field or at a press conference, depending on the sport. Following losses a coach may be the only personnel available.
Team benches, team locker rooms and other team quarters are private team areas. Media members are not permitted in these areas unless accompanied by appropriate University personnel.
Media Credentials
All credential requests will be handled on a game-by-game basis with a limited amount of season credentials issued. Credentials for Vermont home events are issued to working media only and should be
requested as early as possible due to space limitations and demand. Game day credentials will be available at the ticket window for game-to-game requests.
Media Parking
Non-game days: All media with unmarked vehicles should park on the top level of the Gutterson Fieldhouse parking garage and use the ParkMobile App. The Gutterson Fieldhouse parking garage is Zone 6001. Marked vehicles (wrapped TV or radio cars) will not be ticketed during the week.
Game days: Parking passes in designated/assigned areas for approved media will be made available prior to the basketball and hockey seasons. After 3:30 p.m. and on the weekends the Gutterson Fieldhouse parking garage is available to all vehicles free of charge.
Weekly Press Conferences
During the regular season men's and women's basketball and hockey will have regularly scheduled press conferences with student-athletes and staff. (Please note dates and times can fluctuate, particularly in non-conference portion of schedule) Any questions on dates or times should be directed to the appropriate contacts above.
