VERMONT WOMEN'S SOCCER WEEKLY NOTEBOOKThe Vermont Catamounts host Marist on Tuesday and travel to Rhode Island for a Sunday match this week. UVM is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Vermont dropped a heartbreaker at Siena, losing 3-2 on a last second goal. UVM also fell 6-0 at Dartmouth on Sunday.

Caitie Green also scored against Siena, it was her third career goal against the Saints.

ABOUT MARISTMarist stands at 1-5 on the year and is coming off a 5-0 loss to Maine on Friday. The Red Foxes have also faced America East opponents Stony Brook (L, 1-0) and Albany (L, 2-0) this season. Marist has a common opponent with the Catamounts, falling 2-0 to Dartmouth back on August 30. Marist's lone win was a 2-1 overtime victory against Lehigh. The Red Foxes have been out scored 13-3 this season and have failed to score a goal in the last four matches. Brianna Robinson leads the team in shots with 14 and has one goal for Marist. Juliette Loccisano and Kristen Reilly account for the team's other two goals this season. Ashley Houghton has played the majority of minutes in net, while Makala Foley has started two games and was in goal for Marist's lone victory. UVM is 4-0 against Marist and this marks the first meeting between the two teams since August 31, 2005, a 4-2 victory for the Catamounts in Burlington.

ABOUT RHODE ISLANDURI is 3-3-1 on the season and coming off a back-to-back losses to Fairfield (3-1) and Northeastern (2-0). The Rams are playing their fourth America East opponent this season when Vermont visits on Sunday. Rhode Island tied with UNH, 0-0, defeated UMass Lowell, 4-3, and lost to Maine 2-0. Ari Stanton leads the team in scoring with seven points on three goals and an assist. Three other Rams are tied with four points each. Katie Nickles has played every minute in net for URI and owns a 1.66 goals against average. The Rams own an 8-2-2 advantage in the all-time series against Vermont and have won seven of the last eight meetings, including a 3-1 victory in Kingston on September 16, 2012, the last time the two teams met.

NEXT WEEKAmerica East Conference action begins next week. The Catamounts host Stony Brook on September 27 at 12 p.m. at Virtue Field.
