BEFORE VERMONT: McFarland, a forward, comes to UVM from Deer Park High School and played for the Albertson Fury ECNL ... She was a part of the Eastern New York Olympic Develop Program ... At Deer Park, McFarland scored 20 goals, added 13 assists and led the team to the league title in 2009 and 2010. She also earned all-conference honors in 2009 ... With the Fury, rated a “Top 25 Team” in Region I by GotSoccer.com, McFarland helped the team win the 2011 Eastern New York State Cup title.
