Organized by the conference's Student-Athlete-Advisory Committee (SAAC), the #AEFoodFrenzy is a conference-wide community service initiative designed to promote cohesion between America East's member institutions while also providing significant donations to several charities in campus communities.
Catamount will hand off the food they have collected to the Black Bears prior to Thursday's match. All non-perishable goods UVM collects will benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.
The initiative was the idea of Toni Onikeku, a UMass Lowell track and field student-athlete and SAAC member, who passed away tragically in August. America East SAAC is carrying out this initiative in honor of Onikeku and his passion for community service.

Sarah Martin scored twice in the match and her game-winning strike in the 108th minute lifted the Catamounts to the road win. Vermont has won three of its last four matches and is 3-1-1 in its last five games. Junior
Nikki McFarland leads the team in scoring with 11 points and has a team-high five goals. Martin ranks second on the team in scoring with seven points and three goals. Nine different Catamounts have tallied at least one point this season.
Ally Ramos is the team's top goalkeeper. She ranks among the UVM's all-time top-10 goalkeepers in minutes (4th), saves (6th), wins (8th), shutouts (8th) and goals against average (9th). Ramos has played all but 82 minutes in net this season and owns a 1.52 goals against average. She has made five or more saves five times this season.
ABOUT MAINEMaine stands at 6-4-1 overall and is 1-0-1 in league play after a 1-0 overtime win against UMass Lowell on Sunday. Both league games the Black Bears have played have needed extra time. Maine played to a 1-1 draw at Hartford in the conference opener. Charlene Achille leads the team in scoring with nine points and four goals. Vivien Beil and Anetra Byfield are tied for second with eight points each. Beil has a team-leading four assists, while Byfield and Achille share the team lead in goals with four each. Claudia Dube-Trempe is the team's top goalkeeper and owns a 0.98 goals against average.
THE SERIESVermont owns a 13-9-4 advantage in the all-time series, but the two teams have played to a draw in four of the last seven matches. The last two meetings have been 1-1 affairs.
ABOUT HARTFORDThe Hawks are 8-2-2 on the season and 2-0-1 in America East. Head coach John Natale picked up his 100th career victory in Hartford's 1-0 win at Binghamton on Sunday. Three Hawks boast double-digit points on the season, Aallyah Ingram leads the team with 16 points on six goals and four assists. Tori Tripp has added four goals and 11 points and Julia Carr has chipped in 10 points. The Hawks have outscored opponents 21-5 this season and posted seven shutouts.
THE SERIESHartford owns a 25-5-3 record in the all-time series that dates back to 1986. The Hawks have won four straight against the Catamounts. UVM's last victory against Hartford was a 2-0 win during the regular season in Burlington in 2012.
