BURLINGTON, Vt. – Shereesha Richards scored a game-high 31 points and added eight rebounds and six steals to lead Albany to an 89-48 win over Vermont in America East women's basketball at Patrick Gymnasium on Thursday.
The Great Danes remain unbeaten in America East play, moving to 8-0 and 15-6 overall. Vermont falls to 3-17 on the year and 0-8 in the conference.

Richards was one of four Great Danes to reach double figures. Sarah Royals posted 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Zakiya Saunders and Erin Coughlin added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Albany, ranked No. 16 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll, built a 16-5 lead at the 13:42 mark of the first half. The Catamounts trimmed the lead to five on back-to-back 3-pointers from Burchill, but the Great Danes used a 12-2 spurt to push its lead back to 13 with 6:06 remaining in the half. Albany would take a 39-22 advantage into the break.
The Great Danes used a 7-0 spurt midway through the second half to extend their lead to 24 and would cruise the rest of the way to pick up their 29th straight road win in conference play.
Vermont travels to Hartford to begin the second round of conference play on Sunday (Feb. 1). Tipoff is scheduled fro 2 p.m. at Chase Arena in West Hartford, Connecticut.
