BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Vermont women's basketball team hosts Wagner in the second game of a basketball doubleheader on Sunday (Dec. 14). Tipoff at Patrick Gymnasium is set for 3:30 p.m., following the men's game. The game can be heard on WVMT-620 AM (online: SportsJuice.com) with Kevin Fitzgerald calling the action. The game will also be streamed online for free in HD via CatamounTV.com.
The two teams are meeting for just the third time since 2010. UVM posted an 80-70 victory over the Seahawks on Staten Island when the two teams met last year. This is Wagner's first-ever visit to Burlington.
TICKETS AND PROMOTIONS
Tickets can be purchased online at UVMathletics.com or in person one hour before tipoff in the Patrick Gymnasium Lobby ... Please note the UVM Athletic Ticket Office will be closed December 24-January 2 for the holiday break ... Tickets can still be purchased online for any game during the break ... Fans with a ticket to the men's game vs. Wagner at 1 p.m. on Sunday can receive free admission to the women's game ... Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy to be donated to the Toys for Tots initiative ... Fans are also encourage to wear your best festive holiday sweater to the game with a chance to win a $100 gift card to The Superstore Furniture ... The person with the most festive holiday sweater will be picked at halftime to win the prize.

Freshman Sydney Smith was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday ... She set new career-highs in three straight games. She scored 18 points at No. 21 Syracuse, raised her career-high to 20 points at Sacred Heart and netted 23 points in a win over Dartmouth ... She averaged 20.3 points per game, while shooting 46.2 percent from beyond the arc (12-for-26) and 53.7 percent from the field.
TAYLOR HITS THE CENTURY MARK
Sunday marks Niki Taylor's 100th career game in a Vermont uniform ... The senior is nearly averaging 9.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game for the Catamounts ... She became the 15th Catamount to reach the 600 rebound mark with nine at No. 21 Syracuse ... She ranks among the active leaders in America East in scoring (2nd - 904 career pts) and steals (5th - 101 career) ... Taylor ranks first among active leaders in rebounding in the league (613 career) and second in the league in rebounding (8.1 rpg) this season ... She is closing in the 1,000-career point milestone, entering the game 96 shy of the mark.
ATWOOD OFF TO BEST START IN CAREER
Junior Kylie Atwood is off to the best start in her career ... She has started all seven games ... She is averaging 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 44.4 percent from the floor and 40 percent from beyond the arc ... She set new career marks in points (12), assists (5) and 3-point field goals (4) at No. 21 Syracuse and added a career-high 10 rebounds against Dartmouth ... Atwood, the smallest player on the team at 5-5, is averaging 4.3 rebounds per game.
