Sydney Remington each recorded a goal for the Catamounts as Vermont (2-2-2) defeated Charleston Southern (0-3-2) 2-1 at CSU Soccer Field on Friday afternoon.

"We had some really good stretches of play and created a lot of opportunities today, so that was very positive." said Head Coach Kristi Huizenga. "We were disappointed to concede a goal towards the end of the game but the overall quality of play and intensity we were happy with and look forward to Sunday's match with Citadel."

- In the 7th minute of the match, Sydney Remington took a shot from outside the box that was saved by Charleston Southern.
- Minutes later, Sydney Remington would connect on a shot from outside the box sneaking it in the top right of the goal giving Vermont an early 1-0 lead.
- In the 17th minute, Kylee Carafoli recorded a save from a shote taken in the middle of the box.
- At the end of the first half, Vermont led 1-0.
- Vermont led Charleston Southern in shots in the first half, 9-4.
