CHARLESTON, SC. – Aubrey Bough and Sydney Remington each recorded a goal for the Catamounts as Vermont (2-2-2) defeated Charleston Southern (0-3-2) 2-1 at CSU Soccer Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the 7^th minute of the match, Sydney Remington took a shot from outside the box that was saved by Charleston Southern.
• Minutes later, Sydney Remington would connect on a shot from outside the box sneaking it in the top right of the goal giving Vermont an early 1-0 lead.
• In the 17^th minute, Kylee Carafoli recorded a save from a shote taken in the middle of the box.
• At the end of the first half, Vermont led 1-0.
• Vermont led Charleston Southern in shots in the first half, 9-4.
• In the 50^th minute, Aubrey Bough scored an unassisted goal from the middle of the box giving Vermont a 2-0 lead.
• Sydney Remington and Laurent DeGroot each had two scoring opportunities in the 62^nd minute, but both shots were saved by Charleston Southern.
