BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont swimming and diving program has been selected as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Catamounts posted a GPA of 3.79 in the spring 2025 semester to earn the honor. Vermont was tied with the 11th highest GPA in Division I in the spring, trailing top-ranked Miami (3.89) by only 1.1.

Teams were chosen based off of their spring 2024 team grade point averages. 763 teams, and 18,459 student-athletes from 432 institutions were included in the decision process.
"As a coach, I am proud that our student-athletes consistently perform at such a high level in the classroom and the pool," said Head Coach
Gerry Cournoyer. "They never lose focus on why they are at UVM."

Emily Rocco were also recognized by America East as Presidential Scholar-Athletes. The award recognizes graduating student-athletes who compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher as an undergraduate and earned their undergraduate degree in 2024-25. The honorees must have attended their institution for a minimum of two years.
Earlier this month the University of Vermont's student-athletes secured the athletic department's record 11th Walter Harrison Academic Cup, presented each season to the America East institution with the highest cumulative GPA. Vermont earned the 2024-25 honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.54.
