COACH'S QUOTE
"The way this game ended for us was very unfortunate," said Head Coach Kristi Huizenga. "We are disappointed, but we have a lot of positive things to draw on and will move forward in attacking the rest of the conference play. We have loads of goal scoring ability and will continue to work on being more solid defensively."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont struck first in the 26th minute when Aubrey Bough checked in the game, making an instant impact after receiving a pass from Kate Bossert and unleashing a shot from about 25 yards out, sniping the top right corner for her second goal of the season to earn the Catamounts a 1-0 lead.
- In the 51st minute, Vermont produced a brilliant opportunity when Bossert found a streaking Jill Brody on the short side of the field, where she had plenty of room to dial up a shot from outside the box, but she placed the ball just high of the net, keeping the score at 1-0 in favor of the Catamounts.
- The Catamounts doubled their advantage in the 61st minute, going up 2-0 when Brody's corner kick attempt on the far side of the field bounced off a Maine player, going in the net, giving Vermont the second half two goal cushion.
- Just over a minute later, Maine cut the deficit to 2-1 thanks to Julie Lossius finding the back of the net in the 62nd minute of action.
- Kelly Kristina tied the match at 2-2 after scoring in the 83rd minute, corralling a loose ball off a corner kick and placing it bottom left. Tegan Morrison was awarded an assist on the goal.
- A late breakdown from Vermont allowed for Jordane Pinette to score the game-winning goal in the 88th minute, shooting the ball into a wide-open net, sealing the deal and giving the Black Bears a 3-2 advantage.
