BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 6 Vermont will travel to Vestal, N.Y. and take on No. 3 Binghamton on Sunday (Nov. 3) afternoon in the 2024 America East Quarterfinals. The Catamounts concluded the regular season at 8-5-4 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play. Binghamton finished with a 7-5-4 overall record and a 4-2-2 record during America East play. The matchup is slated for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS
Vermont had six players selected to the 2024 All-Conference teams.
Bailey Ayer and
Maddy Cronin highlighted the All-Conference First Team.
Kate Bossert and
Jill Brody were selected to the All-Conference Second Team while
Farrah Yaacoub represents Vermont on the America East All-Rookie Team.
Sydney Remington and Ayer also garnered selections to the America East All-Academic Team.
VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont's 2024 overall win percentage was slightly better than last seasons, posting a .588 winning percentage this season, improving upon their .583 win percentage last year. The Catamounts finish with a 3-4-1 conference record for the second season in a row.
- Vermont was first in the league in goals (30), second in scoring average (1.76), first in shots (273), second in shots on goal (108), and tied for first in points (83).
- The Catamounts as a team rank 45th in the country in shots per game, notching 16 shots a match.
- Vermont has scored first in 12 of their 17 matches this season, scoring 19 goals in the first half and 11 goals in the second half. UVM holds an 8-1-3 season record when notching the first goal of the match. The Catamounts' 30 goals this season ranks first in the America East and 90th across the entire NCAA.
- Vermont is the only America East school to have five players ranked in the top 11 for assists. Emma Warren has three assists. Brody has three assists, Remington has four assists, Bossert has three assists and Ayer has earned four assists so far this season.
- Vermont has two of the top four goal scorers in the entire conference. Ayer ranks first in the America East, 17th in the country goals, scoring 12 goals. Ayer also ranks first in the league and 22nd in the nation in points having earned 28 so far this season on 12 goals and four assists. Bossert is tied for fourth in the America East in goals, scoring six on the season to this point. Bossert also ranks fifth in total points, having earned 15 points so far this season.
- This will be Vermont's 11th appearance in the America East Quarterfinals. The Catamounts are 3-4-3 in their previous 10 quarterfinals matchups. This will be UVM's fourth quarterfinal appearance as the No. 6 seed having gone 2-1-0 in the previous three.
SOCUTING THE BEARCATS
- Binghamton enters the playoffs with a 7-5-4 overall record and a 4-2-2 conference record. The Bearcats earned a postseason berth as the No. 3 seed after defeating UAlbany on the road on Oct. 31, 4-0.
- The Bearcats are currently riding a six-game unbeaten streak, outscoring their opponents 17-8 in the process.
- Binghamton is led by Hannah Mimas, tallying a team-high seven goals, eight assists, and 22 total points. The Bearcats also lean on first year midfielder Anna Buckwalter and senior defender Mackenzie Ryder, who each have 13 total points.
- The Catamounts are 10-14-0 all-time vs Binghamton with the most recent win coming from the 2018 season when the Catamounts downed the Bearcats 1-0 from Virtue Field.
