HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Crusaders took a 6-5 lead in the first media timeout after Vermont took an early 5-3 lead through buckets from Hanson and Olson.
- Olson hit a free throw, and Emma Haan had her first collegiate points when she hit a three with just under three minutes to go in the first quarter to help the Catamounts close the quarter with a 9-8 lead.
- Vermont opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run, with Bella Vito, Olson, and Hanson all scoring.
- Following the second-quarter media timeout, Kendall Eddy helped Holy Cross get back into the game. She scored five straight points to queue a 7-0 Crusader run to tie it at 15.
- The Catamounts closed the second quarter on a 10-2 run, with Olson, Hanson, Haan, and Nikola Priede all hitting shots.
- Vermont started the second half on another 7-0 run, with Olson scoring on a turnaround before Hanson had the other five points.
- The two teams then traded buckets before the third-quarter media timeout, with each scoring six to make it 38-26.
- The Catamounts ended the third quarter outscoring Holy Cross 9-4. Sarah Ericson, Haan, and Malia Lenz all hit threes to help with the scoring. Lenz's three came with seconds left in the quarter.
- The Crusaders opened with their own 11-6 run in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter.
