WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (5-3-0, 0-1-0 AE) will complete their non-conference slate on Wednesday evening at Virtue Field against Siena (1-5-2, 0-1-1 MAAC) in their annual Rally Around Mental Health game presented by Redstone. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Brian McLaughlin on the call. The international stream will also be available on AmericaEast.TV.

RALLY AROUND MENTAL HEALTH
Wednesday's matchup will be the Catamounts annual Rally Around Mental Health game presented by Redstone. Fans who purchase a ticket for Tuesday night's men's soccer matchup against Siena will receive a free ticket to Wednesday's game. In addition, the first 300 fans to stop by the marketing table will get a 2023 Women's Soccer Schedule poster.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
Kate Bossert has started strong for the Catamounts with six goals and 13 total points in eight games. Her six goals is tied for 39th in the nation and her 13 points is tied for 65th in the country. Bossert also has three game-winning goals which is second in the conference and tied for 12th in the country.
Bailey Ayer has registered five assists which leads all America East players and is tied for 23rd in the country.
Kylee Carafoli has been strong in net for UVM posting a 1.017 goals against average, .839 save percentage, 5.20 save per game with 26 total saves and three wins. Her saves per game is tied for 48th in the nation and her save percentage is 50th in the country.
2023 NON-CONFERENCE
Vermont is 5-2-0 in non-conference play this season and 3-0-0 at Virtue Field. In their seven non-conference games Vermont only allowed one multi-goal game against Holy Cross. In those seven games UVM has outscored their opponents 12-8 in total and 9-3 in Burlington. Bossert led the way for the Catamounts with six non-conference goals while
Alyssa Oviedo was second on the team with two non-conference goals. Ayer led UVM with four assists during their non-conference schedule.
SPREADING THE WEALTH
Vermont has gotten contributions from all over this season with six different goal-scorers and three with two or more goals. Bossert leads Vermont with six goals. Junior
Maddy Cronin scored her first collegiate goal, a game-winner, against Merrimack.
Lauren DeGroot is second on the team with three goals and netted her first career brace against Maine (Sept. 17). Oviedo has scored two goals this season.
Tessa Weiss scored her first career goal and earned her first collegiate points with a goal against Stonehill. Ayer leads Vermont and the America East with five assists while also adding a goal to her tally. First year
Aubrey Bough is second on the team with two assists which is tied for the America East lead among rookies.

Sydney Remington have each recorded a point for the Catamounts via assist as well.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Siena has had a slow start to the season getting outscored 20-7 in their eight games while registering 99 shots to their opponents 136. The Saints were selected eighth in the MAAC Preseason Poll receiving zero first place votes and a total of 41 points. First year Megan Stowell is leading the way for Siena with five total points on one goal and three assists. Her assists leads the team and her goal scored is second. Classmate Julia Dening leads the team with two gaols scored and is second with four total points. Graduate student Brooke Boermeester has been the top choice in net for Siena starting five games and earning their lone win against Holy Cross, while posting 27 total saves on a .692 save percentage and 2.47 goals against average.
INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the 18th matchup all-time between the Saints and the Catamounts with the last coming in August 2021. Vermont won that game 3-2 on the road led by Oviedo and Ayer who each scored a goal in that contest. Siena holds the advantage in the series with a 9-6-2 record. The Catamounts won the first four matchups from 1997 to 2006 before the Saints won the next seven from 2007 to 2013 for the longest winning streak in the series. The teams have been evening splitting the last six matchups since 2014, going 2-2-2 with both teams scoring nine goals each.
CATAMOUNTS AGAINST THE MAAC
All-time the Catamounts are 23-19-4 against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Their most matchups have come against Siena (17), while their most wins against a single MAAC team is six also against Siena. Vermont has .500 record or better against Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Manhattan, Marist and Iona. In the last seven matchups against MAAC opponents Vermont is 4-3-0 and have been outscored 9-8 in those games.
