Vermont (3-5-2, 0-1-2 AE) will return to Virtue Field for an America East battle with Binghamton (5-4-2, 2-0-0 AE) on Sunday, October 2. The start time for that game is scheduled for 12 p.m. and it will be broadcast live on Americaeast.TV.

YOUTH DAY GAME
Sunday will be Vermont women's soccer annual Youth Day game presented by Healthy Living. Catamount Kids 12 and younger will receive free admission and are encouraged to wear their favorite soccer jersey to the game. Giveaways from Healthy Living will include:
- Face painter from 11:30-1:30
- Bounce Castle from 11-1pm
- Dress like a UVM soccer player station
- Kick with the Cats post-game
- Healthy Living Goodie Bag Giveaway for kids 12 and younger

The Catamounts have been led this season by strong performances from
Kate Bossert and
Sydney Remington. Currently in her first year Remington ranks tied for first in the America East with three assists through 10 games. Meanwhile, Bossert is ranked eighth in the America East with four goals. Remington has nine points on the season with three goals and three assists. Bossert has also recorded nine points this season on four goals and one assist.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts trail the all-time series 10-11-0 with the first matchup coming in 2002, and the teams have played every season since. Vermont holds a 6-5-0 advantage at Virtue Field but lost their last home matchup 2-0 in April 2021. Binghamton has won three consecutive games since 2019, outscoring the Cats' 6-2, including the last matchup in September 2021 with a 1-0 victory at home. However, Vermont holds the longest winning streak of the series having won five consecutive from 2015-2018 outscoring the Bearcats 7-1 with four shutouts, including an America East Semifinal victory in October 2017. Binghamton holds a slight 28-27 goal advantage over the Catamounts. With the current coaches,
Kristi Huizenga holds a 4-3-0 advantage over Neel Bhattacharjee for Vermont, with a slight 7-6 goal advantage in their seven matchups.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats are led by senior Maya Anand, who leads the America East with six goals on the season. Anand has also chipped two assists on the season for a total of 14 points, which has her tied for first in the America East. Sophomore Peyton Gilmore has also been a strong contributor for Binghamton adding four goals and two assists including a three point game with one goal and one assist against Farleigh Dickinson. She also recently scored in the Bearcats 1-0 victory over NJIT. Senior Olivia McKnight has chipped in five points including a team high three assists. The Bearcats are anchored in net by sophomore Kaitlyn Williams who has played in all 10 games with 44 saves on a .815 save percentage and 1.32 goals allowed average. Williams has also been credited with all five victories for Binghamton.

Following Sunday's matchup Vermont's women's soccer will host Hartford on Wednesday, October 5 for their last non-conference game of the season. The start time for that game is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ from Virtue Field. October 5 will also be the women's soccer annual Redstone swag toss.
