WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTEBOOK
Vermont (4-6-2, 0-2-2 AE) will host America East competitor Maine (6-2-3, 2-0-2 AE) on Sunday, October 9 for their Senior Day presented by the UVM Alumni Association. The game is slated to start at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN3 with Brian McLaughlin on the call.

SENIOR DAY PRESENTED UVM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Sunday afternoon's contest will be senior day for nine Catamounts.

Fiona Doherty,
Ava Keaffaber,
Dani Pollard and
Katelyn Singer are the nine seniors who will be graduating in 2023. Sunday will set up to be one of the last games of their careers at Virtue Field.

SENIOR MOMENTS
The Catamounts have been led by a variety of contributions from their seniors.
Nicky Constant and
Karen Wallace have four points apiece, with Wallace registering two goals and Constant recording one goal and two assists.
Fiona Doherty has also added a goal for Vermont coming against UMass Lowell on September 29. In total, the seniors for the Catamounts have contributed 10 of Vermont's 47 season points.
Erin Murphy has been a stalwart in net for the Catamounts with 11 games played, garnering 10 starts, and earning 41 saves, a .683 save percentage and three wins on the season.

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Maine is just one of two teams in the America East that have not lost a conference game this season. The Black Bears are led by Saylor Clark's 13 points on six goals, and one assist. Her six goals and 13 points are both tied for second best in the America East. Birte Speck is second on the team with eight points on three goals and two assists. Two of those goals were game winners coming against Holy Cross and UMBC. Kayla Kraemer leads Maine with three asissts to go along with two goals on the season. The Black Bears are held down in net by Kira Kutzinski who leads the America East in goals against average with a remarkable .55. Kutzinski has started all 11 games for Maine registering five shutouts in six wins with 38 saves and an .809 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts hold a 17-10-6 all time advantage over the Black Bears having won the last matchup in 2021, 2-0 at Mahaney Diamond in Maine. Vermont holds the longest unbeaten streak in the series having won the first 11 games of the matchup from 1990 to 2000, outscoring Maine 27-4. The Black Bears then went on to win seven straight from 2001 to 2006, outscoring the Catamounts 17-3. Over the past five matchups Vermont is 3-0-2 having gone 1-0-1 at Virtue Field over that span.

Following Sunday's matchup Vermont will have a week off before going on the road for a key America East matchup with New Hampshire. The game will be Sunday, October 16 and the start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
