The Catamounts are back in action Sunday at noon as Vermont (1-3-0) will face Maine (0-5-1) in their final road contest of the regular season. All of the action from Mahaney Diamond will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.

KESSEL AMONG THE AMERICA EAST LEADERS
UVM netminder
Lydia Kessel is among the top goalies in America East. She leads the league with 6.5 saves per game and ranks sixth with an .788 save percentage.
BALANCED OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Vermont has five players with points this season on their three tallies.

Alyssa Oviedo have found the back of the net for Vermont and
Abbey Knobel and
Cricket Basa have an assist.
Oviedo is tied for the team lead in shots on goal at three with Jilly Brody and
Alexa Mihale.
HOMECOMING FOR HUMPHREY
Junior forward
Payton Humphrey is the lone Maine native on the Catamounts roster. She is from York, Maine and played her club soccer for Seacoast United. At York High School she netted 20 goals and dished out 22 assists. She was named to the All-Southern Maine First Team three times.
SCOUTING MAINE
The Black Bears are winless during this shortened spring campaign. The Black Bears have been shutout four times this year. However, they have scored in two of their last three games. Maine's lone tie came in a 1-1 decision against NJIT on March 14.
Junior Hannah Bamford and senior Jane Stevens scored the Black Bears two goals this season. Junior goalkeeper Kira Kutzinski is fifth in America East this season with 29 saves. She made ten saves in a 1-1 tie between the two teams in the fall of 2019.
SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts are looking to continue their recent success against the Black Bears. UVM has only lost once in the last seven years (3-1-3) and leads the all-time series 16-10-5. The two rivals have played some competitive matches for most of the series. The last 13 matchups have been decided by one goal or less with the exception of the 2011 contest – a 3-1 victory by the Cats in Burlington.
PLAYOFF PICTURE
With America East split into two divisions this spring the Catamounts path to the postseason is within Division A. The top two teams in each division will advance to the America East Semifinals set to be played on April 15.
At 1-2 the Catamounts are in third place one win behind New Hampshire (2-2) for second place. Although the Wildcats hold the tiebreaker via their 2-1 win over the Catamounts on March 21.
