RALLY AGAINST CANCER PRESENTED BY INSPIRED CLOSETS
Sunday's match is Vermont's annual Rally Against Cancer Game presented by Inspired Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special lavender socks, the universal color of rallying around all cancers, to show their support. Fans are encouraged to wear lavender in support of the efforts being made at the University of Vermont Cancer Center.

SECONDS? YES, PLEASE!
Vermont is unbeaten in the second conference game on the docket in five out of the last six seasons. Last year, UVM and Hartford played to a 1-1 draw at Virtue Field. Two years ago, UVM blanked Binghamton 2-0 on the road. In 2016, the Green and Gold beat UMass Lowell 1-0 in overtime. The Catamounts topped UMBC 2-1 back in 2014 and were victorious against UMass Lowell again in 2013.
SCOUTING MAINE
The Black Bears come to Burlington with one of the best defenses in the league. Maine has surrendered seven goals through seven games, trailing only New Hampshire with six goals allowed. In their last six matches, the Black Bears have logged two cleans sheets and rattled off four straight wins before falling to Siena and Stony Brook. On the offensive end, eight different players have found the back of the net. Emilie Andersen leads the way with five points on two goals and one assists. Andersen's pair of goals were also game-winners. Nicole Bailey follows with four points on one goal and two assists. In goal, Annalena Kriebisch has stopped 70.8% of the shots fired her way and has posted a 1.40 goals-against average this season.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts are looking to continue their recent success against the Black Bears. UVM has only lost once in the last six years (3-1-2) and leads the all-time series 16-10-4. The two rivals have played some competitive matches for most of the series. The last 12 matchups have been decided by one goal or less with the exception of the 2011 contest – a 3-1 victory by the Cats in Burlington.
REVISITING LAST YEAR'S HEROICS IN ORONO
Vermont pulled off a 2-1 overtime win in last year's meeting at Maine thanks to a game-winning goal by
Alyssa Oviedo in the 92nd minute. The victory pushed the Green and Gold into the conference tournament for the fourth consecutive season and Oviedo would later earn America East Rookie of the Week honors for her walk-off heroics.
