WRAPPING UP NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
Vermont's non-conference slate included nine opponents from six different conferences. In the four matches away from Virtue Field, UVM traveled to three states - Connecticut, Montana, and Rhode Island.
CHECK OUT THE SAVINGS
The Catamounts sit atop America East with an .825 save percentage as a team. The Green and Gold also follow in third with 47 total saves, trailing UMass Lowell (49) and New Hampshire (53).
Kacey Lambertson ranks second among conference goalies with an .824 save percentage and 42 saves.
YOU SHALL NOT SCORE!
UVM's defense has surrendered only 10 goals this season, the third-fewest in the league behind Maine (9) and Hartford (7). The Cats sit fourth in the conference with a 1.25 goals-against average (GAA). On the list of America East leaders, Lambertson ranks fourth with a 1.17 GAA and two clean sheets.
SCOUTING SIENA
The Saints stand at No. 111 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings, the highest ranking of any non-conference opponent for Vermont. Jayanna Monds leads the scoring spree with six points on a pair of goals and assists. Last time out, Monds tallied a goal in the fourth minute of Monday's match at Villanova. Reigning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week sits second in the conference with an .807 save percentage. The junior netminder climbed to fourth on Siena's career shutouts list with her 13th career clean sheet in the league opener against Quinnipiac last Saturday.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Thursday's match will be the 15th meeting all-time between Vermont and Siena. The Saints own a 8-4-2 mark over the Catamounts, but the pair have seen some competitive games in recent years. Since 2011, the regional rivals have met annually and the outcome has been decided by one goal or less seven times with two draws.
