FINAL SCORE: Albany 67, Vermont 55
ALBANY, N.Y– Coming off a win at home against Hartford on Sunday, Vermont lost in Albany to the America East-leading Great Danes 67-55 at SEFCU Arena on Wednesday afternoon. It was the first meeting of the season between the two conference foes and the game started at 11 a.m. due to Albany's annual "Commitment to Education Day."
Â
"This is the best I have felt after a loss in a long time," said Vermont head coach
Chris Day. "Our team found the highly competitive drive that you must have to compete at this level. Especially against a tremendous team like Albany. So hopefully, we can build from this moving on to next Wednesday at home against Binghamton."
