BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Catamounts were out-dueled 68-56 by the Dukes of James Madison University on Saturday evening in the TD Bank Classic consolation game at Patrick Gymnasium. Vermont finished the tournament that it hosted with an 0-2 record.

JMU was led by redshirt-sophomore Kelly Koshuta off the bench. Koshuta scored a game-high (and career-high) 26 points and grabbed six rebounds.
 
Additionally for the Dukes, sophomore guard Kamiah Smalls recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Smalls also registered five assists and six steals.
 
Burlington native and James Madison senior guard Hailee Barron scored 15 points with four makes from behind the arc in the second game of her Thanksgiving break hometown return.
 
For the Catamounts, reigning America East Player of the Week Hanna Crymble led the way with 23 points and four rebounds. The sophomore forward was 7-12 from the field and a perfect 9-9 at the line.
 
UVM freshman Josie Larkins logged a start for the first time in her young collegiate career. She scored 12 points and made four of her seven three-point attempts.
 
The Catamounts led 36-34 at halftime. However, James Madison outscored Vermont 18-6 in the third quarter to claim a 10-point lead. The Dukes hung on to win the game 68-56 and placed third in the annual TD Bank Classic.
  
UVM shot 37.5% from downtown, which topped the 25% clip it registered in its 64-62 loss to American on Friday. The Catamounts end their five-game homestand with a 2-3 record, with losses in the final three contests.
 
Villanova won the second game of the night 65-60 against American to take home the TD Bank Classic title.
 
The All-Tournament Team features Hanna Crymble (Vermont), Kamiah Smalls (James Madison), Cecil Carl (American), Shelburne, Vermont native Emily Kinneston (American), Adrianna Hahn (Villanova), and the group was led by tournament MVP Kelly Jekot (Villanova).
 
The Catamounts return to action on Friday (Dec. 1) with a 7 p.m. game against Rider in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
