STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Vermont women's baketball team travels to Stony Brook for the first America East road game of the year on Wednesday (Jan. 7). Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. from the new Island Federal Credit Union Arena. The game can be heard on WVMT-620 AM (online: SportsJuice.com) with Kevin Fitzgerald calling the action. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN3.com.
UVM stands at 3-10 overall and 0-1 in league play after falling 62-46 to Hartford in the conference opener on Saturday. Stony Brook owns a record of 7-7 overall and is 0-1 in America East after a 60-52 loss to New Hampshire on Saturday.

Kylie Butler scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but the Hartford Hawks used a strong second half to post a 62-46 victory at Patrick Gymnasium in the league ... Butler made a season-high three 3-pointers and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the foul line ... Senior Niki Taylor grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and chipped in six points ...
