2011-12 SEASON: Played in all 30 games … Earned the start in 15 including 11 of the final 12 games of the season … Was named to the America East All-Rookie Team … Averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists on the year … Ranked third among the rookies in scoring in the league … Reached double figures in scoring 10 times … Scored a career-high 17 points versus Binghamton and matched the mark three other times … Made three or more 3-pointers five times … Drained a career-high four at Brown and versus New Hampshire.

BEFORE VERMONT: Shumpert comes to Vermont from Lone Tree, Colo. and played at Highlands Ranch High School ... She was a two-time all-conference selection during her career.

PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Terry and DeQuita Shumpert … Is one of five children in the family … Father played 14 seasons in the Major Leagues (MLB) … He spent five years with the Kansas City Royals, five years with the Colorado Rockies and had stints with Tampa Bay, Boston, San Diego and the Chicago Cubs.
