Lisa Hardy

Lisa Hardy Granillo

Lisa Hardy serves as an Athletic Trainer in the University of Vermont Athletic Medicine Department. She joined the UVM Athletic Medicine staff in the fall of 2010. She is also the President of the Vermont Association of Athletic Trainers. 

She oversees the day-to-day care and prevention of injury for the women's basketball team at UVM.

Originally from Poland, Ohio, Hardy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology at Ohio University, and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Indiana State University. 

She previously worked at Western Michigan University, where she spent three years as an assistant athletic trainer working with the women's soccer, women's golf and baseball teams.

Prior to WMU, she was an Athletic Training Fellow at the United States Olympic Training Center, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and worked with men's and women's weightlifting and women's wrestling, in addition to other Olympic and Paralympic sports.

Previously, Hardy provided volunteer athletic training services to USA Basketball's gold medal U17 Women's 2010 World Championship Team. She also served as the athletic trainer for USA Basketball's Women's 3x3 Team that won a gold medal in June of 2014 in Moscow, Russia.

Hardy is an Emergency Care & Safety Institute CPR/First Aid Instructor, licensed athletic trainer in the state of Vermont, certified through the Board of Certification, and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
