AS A SENIOR (2012-13):: Played in 30 games, starting 26 … Reached double figures in scoring four times … Scored 15 points and handed out five rebounds at Binghamton … Added 10 points, including a crucial 3-pointer in the closing seconds of UVM’s win over UMBC in the America East Quarterfinals … Grabbed eight rebounds versus New Hampshire … Grabbed five or more rebounds seven times … Handed out five or more assists four times.
AS A JUNIOR (2011-12): Played in 19 games, starting 11 straight, before being sidelined with a torn ACL suffered in practice … Averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and shot 78.3 percent from the foul line … Reached double figures in scoring seven times, including four of the final five games she played … Scored a season-high 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting at Maine.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Played in all 30 games, starting 28 … Made her first-career start in the season opener at Nebraska … Reached double-figures in scoring eight times during the year … Scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in an overtime victory at Binghamton (2/12/11) … Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds and added six points at Albany (1/30/11) … Finished the season scoring 14 points in the America East Quarterfinals versus Boston U … Closed out the year averaging 7.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game … Ranked third on the team in scoring.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10): Made her Catamount debut in UVM’s home opening win over Dartmouth ... Came off the bench to see seven minutes of action ... Was sidelined for the middle part of the season due to illness ... Scored her first collegiate points versus Stony Brook and played a season-high 18 minutes ... Finished the year playing in 12 games.
BEFORE VERMONT: Came to Vermont from Westdale High School in Hamilton, Ontario, where she was a team captain as a senior ... While at Westdale she led the team to four City Championships, three SOSSA Zone Championships and a silver and bronze medal at the OFSAA Quad A Tournament ... She averaged 12 points, six rebounds and six assists throughout her career ... Wheeler also played on the Ontario Provincial Team that won the national championship in 2008 and 2006 ... She played for the Ontario Basketball Association at the Division I level for eight seasons, winning five gold and three silver medals.
