CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – On Saturday Morning, the UVM Nordic team wrapped up the UVM Carnival with day three of competition from Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The Catamounts competed in the 10k FR Int. race. At the end of the day, Vermont placed first with a total of 846 points; a comeback win for UVM who ended day one in fourth place. Vermont climbed to the top with standout performances from

Haley Brewster (first).

UVM Carnival Results
The men's Nordic squad placed first in the 10k FR Int. with a total of 141 points and a podium sweep. Greenberg placed first with a run time of 26:05.2 and 50 EISA points. This was Greenberg's sixth podium finish of the season and second EISA victory. Bailey and Kretzschmar followed in second and third with run times of 26:12.9 and 26:19.4 and 47 and 44 EISA points, respectively.
Petter Bakken was close behind, placing fourth with a run time of 26:23.5. Bailey tallied his third straight podium appearance while Kretzschmar notched his second podium finish of the year.
The women's squad finished the day in second with 109 points and five skiers in the top 25 of finishers. Brewster placed first with a run time of 26:23.5 and 50 EISA points. This was Brewster's third consecutive EISA victory.
Greta Kilburn was the next Vermont finisher, coming in eighth with a run time of 31:00.6 and earning 33 EISA points, tying her career best finish.
Emma Page placed 16th with a run time of 31:39.5, receiving 26 EISA points for her team.

The Catamounts will be back in action next weekend on Friday (Feb. 13) for the Williams Carnival from Jiminy Peak and Prospect Mountain. Both the Alpine and Nordic squads will be competing in the carnival with Day One of competition holding the GS and 15k FR Int., respectively. The start time for the men's and women's races will be announced on UVMAthletics.com and UVMSkiing social media once released. (All times subject to change).
