BOSTON – America East announced the conference schedules for the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball seasons on Tuesday morning. Vermont men's and women's basketball will each begin league play on the road.

Catamount women's basketball will look to build off falling to NC State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Catamounts are coming off claiming their eighth America East title in program history as they defeated the top-seed UAlbany Great Danes 62-55. Vermont men's basketball is in search of their 12th America East Championship after falling to Maine last year in the Semifinals.
Women's Basketball:
- The Catamounts will open their conference slate when they travel to UAlbany on January 2, in a rematch of the 2025 America East final.
- Vermont will then host New Hampshire on January 3, in their first home game of the season.
- They will then travel to Binghamton on Jan. 8 and Maine on Jan. 15.
- The Catamounts will have a three-game homestand against UAlbany on January 17, followed by UMass Lowell on January 22, and Bryant on January 24.
- On January 29 and January 31, the Catamounts will travel to both Maryland and New Jersey to take on UMBC and NJIT.
- To start the month of February on the 5th, the Catamounts will host the Black Bears of Maine and then travel to take on the Wildcats of UNH on the 7th.
- On February 12, Binghamton comes to town to take on the Catamounts, and then on February 14, the Catamounts travel to Rhode Island to take on Bryant.
- The last homestand before the playoffs takes place on February 19 and February 21, when both UMBC and NJIT come to Patrick Gym.
- To finish off the season, the Catamounts travel down to Lowell, MA, to take on the River Hawks on February 26.
Men's Basketball
- Vermont enters the 2025-26 campaign in search of its 12th America East Championship. The Catamounts have the most America East Championships in America East history.
- The Catamounts will begin their conference schedule on the road with a matchup against New Hampshire on January 3.
- Vermont will then host Binghamton on January 8 and then will have a bye that weekend. The Catamounts will battle Maine at home on January 15 in a 2025 America East Semifinal rematch.
- UVM will head on a three-game road trip, starting with a visit to UAlbany on January 19 on Martin Luther King Jr Day. The Cats will then head east to play UMass Lowell (January 22) and Bryant (January 24).
- Vermont will wrap up January with a two-game homestand against UMBC (January 29) and NJIT (January 31).
- To kick off February, the Catamounts will head to Orono to face off against Maine (February 5). The Cats then host New Hampshire on February 7.
- Vermont will head west in a matchup against Binghamton on February 12.
- The Catamounts will welcome the defending America East Champions, Bryant, on February 14.
- UVM will travel to UMBC (February 19) and NJIT (February 21) in the Catamounts' final road games of the regular season.
- The Cats finish the conference schedule with a two-game homestand against UMass Lowell (February 26) and UAlbany (March 3).
