Track and Field Wraps Up Weekend at UMass

UMass Pre-Conference Meet
Amherst, Mass. – Vermont Track and Field wrapped up their regular season portion of the competition with the final day of action from the UMass Pre-Conference Meet.

"Eli threw his platter like a boss today. 2nd best mark in school history and less than a meter from the school record," said head coach Matt Belfield. "Morgan had a pretty good day in the vault as well…worked through some issues and finished with a solid height today. We are looking forward to the AE championships at UNH in a few days."

HOW IT HAPPENED

Conor Moses was third in the javelin with a throw of 53.84 meters.
Eli Lammi came in fourth in the discus with a throw of 48.97 meters, which is second all-time in program history.
Samantha Alexander came in seventh in the discus with a throw of 38.55 meters.
Morgan Ryan was eighth in the pole vault with a vault of 3.31 meters.
Havana Layton came in 10th in the pole vault at 3.01 meters.
Karlie Reith placed 11th in the javelin with a throw of 26.61 meters.
Malachi Plociennik came in 17th in the hammer throw at 37.77 meters. He finished 21st in the discus with a throw of 34.46 meters.
Isabella Beauty was 18th in the shot put with a throw of 10.24 meters. She was 26th in the hammer throw at 28.76 meters.
Erin Geib came in 21st in the hammer with a throw of 34.01 meters. She was 24th in the discus with a throw of 27.50 meters.
Carmella Thompson finished 25th in the hammer with a throw of 30.12 meters. She placed 26th in the discus with a throw of 22.73 meters.

UP NEXT
The Catamounts will return to action next Saturday for the first day of the America East championships, which will be hosted by UNH in Durham, N.H.
