Track and Field Prepares for ECAC/IC4A Championships

BURLINGTON, Vt—Vermont Track and Field will travel to George Mason this weekend to compete in the ECAC/IC4A Championships. Lancer Timing will provide the live results.

VERMONT WOMEN OUTLOOK

Last week at the New England Championships, Emma Wapshare was the lone all-New England finisher in the javelin. She finished second with a throw of 41.02 meters. They finished 13th with 18 points.
During the meet, Rachel Barba and Sophia Filali added top 10 marks in program history. Barba finished the 1500 at 4:30.50, the seventh fastest ever. Filali ran the 400 hurdles in 1:03.01, the 10th fastest.
Wapshare, Barba, Filali, Kayla Myers, Ryleigh Garrow, and Adriana Rodriguez all placed in the top 10 events.
Wapshare also won the javelin at the UMass Last Chance Meet on May 15, with a throw of 46.56 meters, the fourth longest in program history. She also ranks 42nd in the javelin in the NCAA East Region.
At last year's ECAC championships, the Vermont women scored three points, with Clare Kelly the lone scorer in the 5000 meters.

VERMONT MEN OUTLOOK

At last week's New England Championships, the Catamount men had two all-New England finishers and were ninth with 28 points.
Kenneth Morrissey (800) and Tommy Wolfe (10k) earned the all-New England recognition.
William Locke's sixth-place finish in the 5000 at 14:47.06 is the 10th fastest time in program history.
Morrissey, Wolfe, Jameson Sparks, Locke, Kyle Hoffman, and Eli Lammi all recorded top-10 finishes last week.
Conor Moses and Sparks both competed in the UMass Last Chance with Wapshare. Moses was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 59.59 meters, the ninth longest in program history. Sparks won the steeplechase as well.
