COACH'S QUOTE
"We had inspired performances from both our teams today. Kayla fought really hard and scored more points than last year, but fell just a little short of the title. Her poise throughout the day was impressive. I was thrilled to see Morgan Ryan get a big PR in this biggest of stages to score a point for the team. And each member of the DMR raced well to get us a couple more," said head coach Matt Belfield. "For the men, we got some qualifiers to tomorrow's finals that were impressive, including Lukaas' first 48 clocking in the 400. Alex had another fantastic prelim day advancing to both finals. Jackson King was solid in day one of the Heptathlon and is in position to grab some points after tomorrow is done. I'm confident we will have an even better day tomorrow."
