COACH'S QUOTE
"We were really playing well," said Head Coach
Steve Wiedler. "That team is too talented to give them a five-minute major and a five-on-three. There are things I'm encouraged by, but it takes what it takes to win at this level and it takes it all the time."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts opened the scoring on the first power play of the contest. Will Zapernick fed the puck down low to Isak Walther on the goal line. Walther fed a cross-crease pass to Joel Määttä who was wide open on the doorstep. He one-timed it home through the legs of BC's Jacob Fowler for his ninth goal of the season at the 12:28 mark of the opening frame.
- The Eagles tied the game at one off an offensive zone faceoff with 5:17 to play in the first. Dean Letourneau won the puck back to Will Skahan and the BC defender rifled a wrist shot through traffic just under the bar for his second goal of the season.
- Vermont retook the lead with another power play opportunity late in the frame. Määttä beat a BC defender to a puck along the boards and tapped it one-handed to the point for Simon Jellus. Jellus passed it along the blue line to Sebastian Törnqvist.
- The Eagles captain Eamon Powell tied things back up 8:14 into the second period. A Catamount made a great play on a BC forward cutting in the slot, but the puck came out to Powell who wristed it home to make it 2-2.
- At the 8:33 mark of the second period the Catamounts Daniel Sambuco received a five-minute major and game misconduct for slew footing. The Eagles would score twice over that span. Ryan Leonard picked up his 26th of the season with 7:54 to play in the second. Then during a period of five-on-three action James Hagens picked up his ninth of the year to make it 4-2 with 6:30 to play in the second.
- Colin Kessler answered back for the Catamounts with 2:26 to play in the second. In transition Isak Walther fed the first year before he deked the BC defense and backhanded home his team-leading 11th goal of the year. Määttä earned his third point of the night with the secondary assist.
- The Eagles reestablished their two-goal lead 2:31 into the third period. Michael Hagens notched his first career goal to make it 5-3.
- Andre Gasseau closed out the scoring with his 11th of the season into an empty net with 1:03 to play.
