COACH'S QUOTE
"Credit to Manhattan, I think they're a really gritty team and when we played down there last year, we had an ice situation and snow situation that pushed the game back, so we're both two teams that are familiar with playing in harsh conditions," said Head Coach
Chris Feifs. "I think the one advantage we had is we practiced out here all week this week, and honestly, we didn't even get to do any even strength drills until yesterday, the footing was just so bad. Credit to our guys for stepping up and staying the course."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Manhattan opened scoring with 6:28 remaining in the first quarter, but it didn't take long for the Catamounts to bounce back, seeing Harrison Josloff send a pass to Charlie Pope, who wasted no time firing a shot in the net for his second goal of the season, knotting the game at 1-1 with 5:48 to go in the first quarter.

- There was 1:27 remaining until halftime before Reiter scored his first goal of the season, sniping his shot to the top left corner, elevating UVM's lead to 6-1 as Vermont entered halftime with a five-goal cushion. Drimmie picked up an assist on the Catamounts sixth goal.
- The Jaspers secured the opening goal to start the second half, but similar to the start of the game, it wasn't long before Vermont responded thanks to Pope scoring his fourth goal of the game, maintaining the Catamount lead, 7-2.
- On Vermont's eighth goal, taking an 8-2 lead. Drimmie fed junior defender Ryker Demarest, running all the way up the field before electing to fire a shot from about 20 yards out, scoring his first career collegiate goal and giving UVM a six-goal advantage.
