Field Hockey Places 15 on NFHCA All-Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – The University of Vermont field hockey team placed 15 student-athletes on the 2024 NFHCA Division I National Academic team. It is the sixth year the Catamounts have had at least 12 student-athletes earn the distinction.

The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

This year, just under 1,000 student-athletes from more than 75 Division 1 schools earned recognition.

Vermont's 15 selections are the most of any America East team, with every school except UC Davis posting over 10 selections. UMass Lowell and Maine were tied for second with 12 each.

Sophia Drees, Reggie Hillery, Meredith Medvetz, Lauren Schellhamer, and Bella Silvaggio earned NFHCA Academic Squad recognition for all four years of their careers.
