BOSTON – Vermont (4-5-1, 1-1-1 HEA) fell 3-0 to No. 9 Northeastern (7-2-0, 4-0-0 HEA) on Friday afternoon from Matthews Arena during the first game of a two game weekend series with the Huskies.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northeastern opened scoring on the powerplay with 7:23 showing on the clock, seeing first year forward Stryker Zablocki score her third goal of the season to lift the Huskies to a 1-0 advantage.
- With 17:13 on the clock in the middle frame, the Catamounts nearly pounced back, seeing Oona Havana muscle her way to the slot where she was able to get a shot towards net, but the puck rang off the pipe staying out as Northeastern maintained the one goal lead.
- The Huskies doubled their lead in the second period with 15:39 on the clock when Ella Blackmore fed Lily Brazis who was all alone in front, scoring her first goal of the season to extend the Northeastern advantage, 2-0.
- An empty net goal by Morgan Jackson with 2:28 left to play in regulation sealed the deal for Northeastern, skating away with the 3-0 win on home ice.
