COACH'S QUOTE
"What a battle today's game was and I am proud of our team for the way we fought for 65 minutes," said Head Coach
Jim Plumer. "Obviously we wanted the win but with the tie and the point we were able to win the season series with BC and that may prove important in the standings down the road. Both goalies were outstanding today and credit to
Ellie Simmons for playing perhaps her best game of her career today. Overall, our team defense was just fantastic. We now turn our attention to Northeastern next weekend and we will need to be ready to battle just as hard against an excellent team."
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Through the halfway point of the middle frame, the Eagles collected a total of six separate penalties, but the Catamounts were unable to capitalize as the scoreboard remained knotted at 0-0.
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the final period as the game was sent to overtime. Vermont totaled 10 shots on goal in the third frame while Boston College tallied eight.
- Both teams saw opportunities in the overtime period, but Ellie Simmons and Grace Campbell were standing tall in net, stopping every shot that came their way.
- In the shootout, Boston College's Shea Frost scored first in the second round, sniping her shot glove side high, giving the Eagles the 1-0 SHO lead.
- Lauren O'Hara scored next for Vermont in the shootout, using a forehand-backhand move on Campbell while throwing multiple head fakes, making Campbell shift from side-to-side. O'Hara used her backhand to shovel the puck top shelf, tying the shootout at 1-1.
