Women's Basketball Travels to NJIT on Thursday

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (9-10, 4-1 AE) travels to NJIT (6-12, 3-2 AE) on Jan. 23 for a conference match-up. The game will tip off at 6:00 p.m. ET and be streamed live on ESPN+.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the Varsity Network App, and Ryan Zimmerman is on the call.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO CELEBRATE NGWSD FEB. 8
The UVM Women's Basketball team will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day powered by Vermont Mutual Insurance Group on Saturday, Feb. 8, during their game against UAlbany at 2:00 p.m.

On Feb. 8, girls from the local community interested in sports and being involved in this celebration will have the opportunity to become members of the UVM Athletic Staff for the day. Girls between 4th and 8th grade can apply to a wide variety of positions including Public Address Announcer, Marketing Assistant, Ticket Staff, and many more! Participants will be able to work in the position for one half of the game; for the other half, they will be able to watch the game with family.

All applications must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23. Participants selected will be informed by 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the very latest. VERMONT OUTLOOK

The Catamounts defeated Binghamton 55-46 in their last game.
Keira Hanson led the Catamounts in scoring with 14 points and matched a season-high with four made threes. Nikola Priede was second, and Bella Vito was third with 13 and eight, respectively.
Sarah Ericson led Vermont in rebounds with a season-high of 10, while Malia Lenz was second with nine for the second time in her career. Priede and Vito were tied for third with six each.
They also had a season-high 41 rebounds as a team.
Vermont holds an 11-1 series lead and has won seven of the last eight meetings.
The Catamounts won last season's series, winning 76-51 at home and 68-55 in Newark.
Anna Olson is Vermont's leading scorer this season, averaging 14.2 points per game. Hanson and Vito are second and third, averaging 9.3 and 8.9 per game, respectively.
Vito leads the Catamounts on the boards with 6.4 per game. Olson and Priede are second and third, averaging 4.9 and 3.9 per game, respectively.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS

NJIT opened conference play with wins over Binghamton, UMBC, and UMass Lowell. They fell to Maine and most recently lost to New Hampshire, 70-48.
They were picked eighth in the America East preseason poll.
Alejandra Zuniga leads the Highlanders in scoring with an average of 18.1 per game. Olivia Kulyk and Trinity Williams follow suit, averaging 10.5 and 10.3, respectively.
Williams is NJIT's top rebounder at 7.0 per game, Kulyk is second, hauling in 4.8 boards a game, and Madilyn Dogs is third with 4.1 boards.
Zuniga, Williams, and Aria Myers are the Highlanders' leading scorers to return from last season.
