HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts took an 11-5 run into the first media timeout through four points from Bella Vito, three from Sarah Ericson, and two from Anna Olson and Malia Lenz.
- Following the first media timeout, the Bearcats closed the quarter on a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to two.
- Vermont opened the second quarter on a 6-1 run through two points from Hanson, Nikola Priede, and Ericson.
- The two teams traded buckets to close the half, but Binghamton outscored the Catamounts 11-9 to cut the halftime deficit to five.
- Hanson had three, while Olson, Lenz, and Catherine Gilwee scored in the final stretch following the second media timeout.
- Vermont opened the third quarter on a 9-5 run with three points from Gilwee and two from each of Olson, Priede, and Vito.
- The Catamounts closed the quarter on a 10-4 with seven points from Priede and three from Hanson.
- The teams traded baskets to open the fourth, with Vermont slightly outscoring the Bearcats 7-6. Hanson had three, while Vito and Priede each had two.

- They also had a season-high 41 rebounds as a team.
- Gilwee led the Catamounts on the floor with four assists, while Vito and Olson each had three.
- Olson had a season-high in blocks with three and matched a season-high in steals with two.
- The win improves Vermont to 9-2 when holding opponents under 60 points. It gives the Catamounts their first win of the season when scoring under 60 points.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO CELEBRATE NGWSD FEB. 8Â
The UVM Women's Basketball team will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day powered by Vermont Mutual Insurance Group on Saturday, Feb. 8, during their game against UAlbany at 2:00 p.m.
On Feb. 8, girls from the local community interested in sports and being involved in this celebration will have the opportunity to become members of the UVM Athletic Staff for the day. Girls between 4th and 8th grade can apply to a wide variety of positions including: Public Address Announcer, Marketing Assistant, Ticket Staff, and many more! Participants will be able to work in the position for one half of the game; for the other half, they will be able to watch the game with family.Â
All applications must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23. Participants selected will be informed by 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the very latest. Those chosen to participate will receive a free ticket and discounted tickets for family and friends who wish to attend the game.
