BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (1-0-1) continues its non-conference play against Boston University (0-2-1) in their second game of a four-game home stand on Sunday, August 25 at 1 p.m. from Virtue Field. Sunday's matchup is the Catamounts Pep Rally Game presented by TD Bank. We encourage all fans to join us for the Pep Rally, with gates opening at 12 p.m.

PEP RALLY GAME

• The Catamounts Pep Rally Game is presented by TD Bank. TD Bank will be saying a few words before kickoff. TD will also be giving away co-branded t-shirts and Moe's will be providing chips/salsa throughout the match. Other sponsors currently planning to attend include Keurig Dr Pepper, Redstone, and Consolidated Electrical Distributors. There will also be coupons/promotional items from Dunkin' and Lake Champlain Chocolates.

AYER AND DEGROOT

• In Vermont's first two games of the season, senior midfielder Bailey Ayer and junior forward Lauren DeGroot have produced seven of the Catamounts 12 points scored so far this season.
• Ayer found the back of the net against UConn and Saint Anselm, the second time in her career scoring a goal in back-to-back games.
• DeGroot secured her first goal of the season against Saint Anselm after tallying an assist in the season opener against the Huskies. It's the second time in her career registering points in back-to-back games.

VERMONT OUTLOOK

• Vermont returns four America East All-Conference members from their 2023 squad, Kate Bossert, Bailey Ayer, Maddy Cronin, and Bridget Kennedy.
• The Catamounts earned their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Saint Anselm at Virtue Field on Wednesday, August 21. UVM kicked off the season earning a 2-2 draw on the road at UConn.
• Sophomore midfielder Aubrey Bough earned her first career goal against the Huskies in the season opener followed by freshman midfielder Farrah Yaacoub scoring her first career goal against Saint Anselm in the home opener.
• Vermont was picked to finish fifth in the America East 2024 Women's Soccer Preseason Coach's Poll.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS

• Boston University was selected to finish third in the Patriot League 2024 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. The Terriers earned two first-place votes and were projected to earn 136 total points.
• BU is led by captains Celia Braun, Eileen Solomon, and Lily Matthews
• Three players from Boston University were selected to the 2024 Preseason All-Patriot League Women's Soccer Team including junior forward Natalie Godoy, junior midfielder Giulianna Gianino, and senior defender, Solomon.
• Gianino was just recently awarded Patriot League Women's Soccer Midfielder of the Week after tallying three goals on six shots in two games during BU's opening weekend of play. 
• UVM and Boston University face off for the second straight year for the first time since the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
