SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton snapped a four-game losing streak last Saturday with a 14-9 victory over conference foe UMass Lowell. The Bearcats' loss in league play came against UAlbany (L, 15-13) on Mar. 16. The Bearcats were picked No. 3 in the 2024 America East Preseason Coaches Poll, one spot behind the Catamounts. Junior, Abagail Carroll, leads the team in points (36) with 23 goals and 13 assists. Behind her is Olivia Muscolino (27 goals, 6 assists) and Madison Murphy (23 goals, 7 assists). INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont is 14-9 in the all-time series with Binghamton, but the Bearcats have defeated the Catamounts in the last two matchups. Kendall Traveis and Claire Adelhelm each added a tally.

SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS
The Catamounts and Bearcats have met in each of the last two America East Semifinals with each team earning a victory. Vermont defeated Binghamton 13-12 in the 2022 semifinals. Ava Vasile scored six goals in the win, including the clinching tally with 7.8 seconds left to send UVM to its first title game in program history. A fourth-quarter comeback led the Bearcats to a 12-10 win over the Catamounts in the 2023 semifinals.

THE AVA SHOW
It's no secret that Ava Vasile has been dominant this season. In Vermont's most recent victory against conference opponent UNH, Vasile scored a career high of seven goals and secured 200 career goals.
