FINAL SCORE: Vermont 7, UAlbany 17
BURLINGTON, Vt. – A slow start from Vermont (6-4, 1-1 AE) allowed UAlbany (3-7, 2-0 AE) to get off to an early six goal lead that they never gave up, earning them the 17-7 victory over the Catamounts on Sunday afternoon at Virtue Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Five different players from UAlbany registered a goal in the opening frame including two from Bryar Hogg on the way to a 6-0 lead, keeping the Catamounts scoreless throughout the entire quarter.
- The Great Danes kept the offensive pressure on, scoring the first two goals of the quarter to give themselves an 8-0 cushion with 12:46 remaining in the second frame.
- Ava Vasile got Vermont on the scoreboard after scoring her 30th goal of the season with 11:10 left to go in the quarter. The Catamounts trailed, 8-1.
- UAlbany responded to Vasile's goal, scoring two more of their own to gain a 10-1 advantage with 1:56 of the half to go.
- With 0:41 remaining in the second quarter, Jane Trauger fed Erin Kloostra in front of the net, who capitalized on her scoring opportunity by notching her second goal of the season, bringing the Catamounts into halftime behind, 10-2.
- Vermont struck first 1:26 into the third frame after Karina Sethi scored unassisted, cutting the Great Danes lead down, 10-3.
- Hogg's answered for UAlbany, scoring her 11th of the season to take a 11-3 lead with 12:07 to go in quarter three.
- Sethi scored her second of the game on a free position attempt 0:35 later to bring the score to 11-4 in favor of UAlbany with 11:32 of the third frame remaining.
- Trauger responded to UAlbany's 12th goal, displaying an impressive solo effort, scoring unassisted after powering her way to the slot to make the score 12-5 in favor of UAlbany with 8:15 of time remaining in the third frame.
- The Great Danes bounced back, scoring three unanswered goals, extending their lead to 15-5 with 5:32 to go in the quarter.
- Lindsay Lefebvre scored with 1:59 remaining in the third frame on a free position attempt, netting her third goal of the season, making the score 15-6 in favor of UAlbany.
- Vermont found the back of the net for the first time in the final quarter with 3:18 of gametime remaining after surrendering two earlier goals to the Great Danes, making the score 17-7. Trauger registered her second goal of the game, her 15th of the season before time expired, earning UAlbany the 17-7 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Sethi scored two goals for the Catamounts, the first time in her career tallying a multi-goal game.
- Trauger added two goals for Vermont as well, the seventh time this season she's had a multi-goal game. Trauger also finished with one assist (team-high three points) and a team-high five shots on net.
- Vasile recorded a team-high three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Vasile also registered one goal against UAlbany.
- Kloostra and Lefebvre each had one goal in Sunday's contest.
