Women's Basketball Heads to Princeton for Final Game of 2024

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (5-8) travels to Princeton (6-4) for their final game in 2024. The game will tip off at 12:00 p.m. ET and be streamed live on ESPN+ with Jon Mozes and Isis Young on the call.
 
BROADCAST INFORMATION
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the Varsity Network App, and Ryan Zimmerman is on the call.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
  • The Catamounts fell to Buffalo last time out, 70-68.
  • Keira Hanson and Sarah Ericson led Vermont in scoring with 16 points each. The 16 was a season-high for Ericson, while Hanson matched her season-high in threes with four.
  • Anna Olson and Nikola Priede led the Catamounts in rebounds with nine each. Priede set a career-high with nine. Olson also led the team in assists with fives.
  • Vermont is 0-1 all-time against the Tigers, having lost to Princeton last year, 67-47, at Patrick Gym, where Emma Utterback scored 23 points.  
  • This season, Olson is Vermont's leading scorer, averaging 14.8 points per game. Hanson and Bella Vito are second and third, averaging 10.8 and 9.2 per game, respectively.
  • Vito leads the Catamounts on the boards with 5.8 per game. Olson and Malia Lenz are second and third, averaging 5.5 and 4.5 per game, respectively.
  • Princeton will be the final game of a three-game stretch for Vermont, where they face a team ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25. Quinnipiac is ranked fifth, Buffalo is ranked sixth, and the Tigers are ranked 12th.
 SCOUTING THE TIGERS
  • Princeton enters the Saturday matchup at 6-4 on the year, having won three of its last five games.
  • They share one common opponent: the Catamounts in Quinnipiac, whom the Tigers lost to on Nov. 16, 74-66.
  • Madison St. Rose is Princeton's leading scorer, averaging 17 points per game. Skye Belker and Ashley Chea are second and third, putting up 13.5 and 12.5 points per game, respectively.
  • St. Rose is the Tigers' leading rebounder at 7.3 per game. Fadima Tall, Tabith Amanze, and Parker Hill are second and tied for third, averaging 5.7 and 4.6 rebounds, respectively.
  • Princeton returns three of their five leading scorers from a season ago. St. Rose (14.5), Belker (8.5), and Chea (6.0) are all back.
  • St. Rose (2.6) and Hill (2.6) are the only Tigers returning from Princeton's top-five rebounders in 2023-24.
