COACH'S QUOTE
"Eve and Kayla had solid openers in the pentathlon. Both athletes had solid marks across the board. We are very excited about Kayla's well-earned victory as well," said associate head coach Kasey Hill. "The men opened well on their first day of the heptathlon. They have high potential for their second day events as well. The first combined event meet of the year is always a good opportunity to take stock of where we are and what needs work. I'm very pleased with the progress made this fall and we will be in good form for championships in a few months."
