Burlington, Vt. - The NCAA announced the selections for the 2025 NCAA First Round, and Emma Wapshare will head to Jacksonville, Florida, next week for the 2025 NCAA First Round, where she will look to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from Wednesday, May 28 – Saturday, May 31.
"It's a tremendous accomplishment for Emma to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships," said head coach Matt Belfield. "She's worked exceptionally hard to get to this point and I am so happy for her to be able to represent the green and gold on the big stage."
Wapshare qualified in the javelin by being in the top 48 of the East Region. She is seeded 38th at 46.56 meters, which she recorded at the UMass Last Chance Meet this spring. The throw ranks fourth overall in program history.
