BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont Women's Basketball opens the 2024-25 regular season on Monday (Nov. 4) when it hosts Missouri at Patrick Gym in the Rally Around Mental Health Game presented by Redstone. The tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET. Tickets for the matchup are available for purchase at

The game will be broadcast live on
ESPN+ with Rob Ryan on the call. Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the
Varsity Network App, and Ryan Zimmerman is on the call.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Anna Olson was named to the Preseason All-Conference team for the fourth straight year after earning America East All-Defensive and Second Team All-Conference a year ago. The Monticello, Minn. native ranked second on the Catamounts, scoring 12.3 points per game during conference play and 11.6 overall.
- Vermont brings back two of their top five scorers in Olson (11.6 ppg) and Keira Hanson (8.1 ppg). 2022 America East Rookie of the Year Catherine Gilwee returns after missing all last season with an injury.
- The Catamounts are 33-12 all-time in home openers, with a 5-1 record, Mayer Women's Head Coach Alisa Kresge. They are 22-23 in season openers.
- Vermont is 0-11 all-time against the SEC, with their most recent matchup against Florida in 2008. The last SEC team to visit Burlington was Vanderbilt in 2003 when UVM fell 65-54. This will be the first meeting between Missouri and Vermont in program history.
- The Catamounts added seven newcomers to its roster for the 2024-25 campaign. Five first-years and two transfers make up the new group. Sarah Ericson (St. Thomas Aquinas) and Julia Blanck (Skidmore) are the transfers. The five newcomers are Emma Haan, Natalie Beaudoin, Piper Risdon, Devon Yarde, and Savanna Creal.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Missouri wrapped up 2023-24 with a record of 11-19 (2-14 SEC) and lost in the first round of the SEC tournament.
- The Tigers return three of their five leading scorers from a year ago, with second-leading scorer Ashton Judd (13.4 ppg), Grace Slaughter (11.5 ppg), and Abby Schreacke (7.6 ppg) back.
- Slaughter was named to the 2023-24 SEC All-Freshmen team.
- Missouri also returns three of its five leading rebounders from a year ago: Judd (6.4 RPG), Angelique Ngalakulondi (4.5 RPG), and Slaughter (3.4 RPG).
