BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont Women's Basketball begins playing in the Great Alaska Shootout on Friday (November 22) against North Dakota State. The game will tip off at 9:15 p.m. ET. On Saturday night, the Catamounts will play either the hosts Alaska-Anchorage or Troy.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont defeated Dartmouth, 61-37, in their last game before heading west.
- Anna Olson led the Catamounts in scoring with 16 points, while Bella Vito had 10. Â
- Vito and Olson led Vermont on the boards with nine and six, respectively.
- The Catamounts never faced any of the teams in the Great Alaska shootout, but they have faced teams in each of the respective conferences. They hold a 2-5 record against the conferences represented in the field, with wins over North Dakota and James Madison.
- Olson is Vermont's leading scorer this season, averaging 15.8 points. Hanson and Bella Vito are second and third, with 10.2 and 7.2 points, respectively.
- Olson currently leads the America East in field goal percentage at 63.5%, which is also good for 25th in the country.
- Olson, Vito, and Malia Lenz lead the Catamounts in rebounding, averaging 6.0, 5.0, and 3.4, respectively.
- Vermont is in the middle of a six-game, 21-day road trip that will see them travel over 9,600 miles in the 21 days. They are one of 25 teams in the NCAA this season to have a road trip of 20 days or more.

SCOUTING THE BISON
- North Dakota State opened the season by falling to Drake before defeating Eastern Illinois and Jamestown. Friday's contest will be the Bison's first in a week.
- Avery Koenen is North Dakota State's leading scorer, averaging 13 points per game. Molly Lenz and Abby Schulte are second and third in scoring, with 10 and 9.3 points per game, respectively.
- Koenen also led the Bison on the boards, averaging 8.7 per game. Abby Draper and Amelia Hobson were second and third on the team in rebounding, with five per game each.
- North Dakota State returns three of its five leading scorers from a year ago. Draper is the leading returner after putting up 10.1 points per game. Schulte and Abby Krzewinski are the other returners after putting up 7.2 points per game each a season ago.
- The Bison return three of their top five rebounders from a year ago, with Koenen (5.1), Draper (5.1), and Krzewinski (5.0) back.
