BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont men's basketball ended their 2024-25 exhibition campaign with an 80-55 win over Saint Michael's Wednesday evening from Patrick Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nick Fiorillo got things started for the Catamounts scoring eight points in the first four minutes which included two threes.
- Vermont opened the game with a 19-3 run.
- At the end of the 12-minute media timeout, UVM led Saint Michael's 19-6.
- Gavin Perryman and Shy Odom recorded their first points as a Catamount in the first half.
- At the 5:30 mark, Sam Alamutu threw down a putback dunk as Vermont took the lead 33-14.
- The Catamount defense shined in the first half as Saint Michaels shot 26.7% from the field.
- Vermont led at half 43-26. Fiorillo led Vermont with 10 points.
- Alamutu started things off for the Catamounts in the 2nd half with a dunk and a three-pointer.
- Shamir Bogues and Seth Joba exchanged three-pointers as Vermont went up 60-37 with 9 minutes remaining.
- After a Seth job mid-range jumper, UVMÂ held their 68-47 going into the final media timeout with four minutes remaining.
- First-years Ben Wesson and Drew Bessette checked into the game with a few minutes remaining. Both scored their first career collegiate points. Wesson hit a corner three and Bessette knocked down a free throw.
