COACH'S QUOTE
"It was nice to get another win at home tonight as we head into the conference stretch," said Head Coach

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont outshot the Saints 13-3 in the first half, but despite that Siena was able to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- Julia Dening beat her defender on the touchline along the right hand side and sent a low cross into the middle. Fellow first year Megan Stowell was waiting for the cross and was able to send the shot into the upper netting to give Siena a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute.
- Over the final 30 plus minutes of the first half Vermont intensified their pressure registering seven shots and forcing five saves from the Siena goalkeeper Brooke Boermeester. UVM also pressured the Saints into surrendering two corner kicks.
- In the second half the Catamounts came out looking to continue that pressure and forced the issue on Siena, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the half.
- Kate Bossert got UVM on the board when she was able to corral a loose ball at the top of the 18-yard box, take a touch, and settle the ball to her left foot where she then fired a shot into the lower right side of the net to tie the score at 1-1 in the 49th minute.
- Jill Brody continued the Catamount pressure just a few moments later when she scored her first game-winning goal of the season on a cross from Karen Wallace that was laid out perfectly in the box by Bossert. Brody was able to connect with Bossert's header and send the shot high and hard into the top center of the net to give Vermont a 2-1 lead in the 55th minute.
- Vermont continued their pressure in the final 30 minutes outshooting Siena and forcing five corners to help preserve a 2-1 victory. Erin Murphy also came up with a crucial save in the 86th minute on a shot from Dening.
