WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (4-4) will host Holy Cross (3-3) on Sunday afternoon in their annual Vermont Day presented by Vermont Federal Credit Union. The game is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Catamounts matchup with the Crusaders will broadcast live on
ESPN+ with Brian McLauglin and Bernie Ciepilicki on the call. Fans can also listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network, from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the
Varsity Network App with Ryan Zimmerman on the call.

available for auction online, at tip-off Thursday night. Proceeds from the auction, which closes at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7, will benefit the

AMONG THE BEST IN THE AMERICA EAST
Vermont is allowing just 52.9 points per game which is best in the America East and their 3.4 scoring margin ranks second. Utterback's 15.4 points per game is second in the America East while her 4.5 assists ranks first in the conference.
Anna Olson leads all America East players in field goal percentage at 58.6 per game while also leading the conference in free throw percentage at 85.2 percent.
Bella Vito is sixth in the conference in rebounding averaging 7.0 boards per game.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE
The Catamounts are surrendering just 52.9 points per game which leads the America East and is 25th in the nation. Vermont's 37.6 percent field goal percentage allowed is third in the conference and ranks 118th in the country. Vermont is holding teams to just 28.5 percent from three which ranks 120th nationally. Vermont is also forcing 13.6 turnovers per game while blocking 3.5 shots per contest.
TEAM BALANCE
The Catamounts have four different players scoring over five points per game, and in their last game against Dartmouth they had four players in double digits. Utterback leads the team with 15.4 points per game and Olson is second with 11.5 points per game. Vermont has also had eight different players knock down a three this season with four players hitting four or more.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
The Crusaders are averaging 56.8 points per game on 36.0 percent shooting from the floor and 25.0 percent from deep. Holy Cross is holding teams to only 31.7 percent shooting from the field and 25.2 percent from beyond the arc. Senior Bronagh Power-Cassidy leads the team in scoring at 13.3 points per game and is third in rebounding at 6.5 board per game. Classmate Janelle Allen is second on the team in scoring and fourth in rebounding registering 11.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Simone Foreman leads the Crusaders with 8.8 rebounds per game alongside 5.3 points per contest. The Crusaders were picked first in the Patriot League Preseason Poll receiving 16 first-place votes and 160 total points. Power-Cassidy was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team.
INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the 19
th matchup all-time between the Catamounts and the Crusaders with the first matchup coming in November 1982. Both teams boast a win streak of four in the series with Vermont having won four straight from 2006 to 2010. Holy Cross won the first four meetings between the team from 1982-1990. The last time these two teams met Vermont defeated Holy Cross 64-34 in Worcester, Mass. In that game, Olson led all scorers with 15 points to go along with a game-high seven rebounds. Utterback scored her 1,000th career point in that game.

Following Sunday's matchup with Holy Cross the Catamounts will have a two game road trip next week. Vermont will begin the road trip at Army on Wednesday, December 6 at 5 p.m. before concluding their trip with Manhattan on Saturday, December 9 at 12 p.m. Both of those games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
