SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Plattsburgh State opened the 2023-24 season with a 75-69 loss to Clarkson on Wednesday (Nov. 8). Kevin Tabb scored a team-high 20 points in the season opener. Tabb led the Cardinals last season, averaging 16.6 points per game and earning an All-SUNYAC selection. Franklin Infante also averaged double figures (10.4 ppg) and produced a team-high 3.7 assist per game. The Cardinals were 10-15, 6-12 in the SUNYAC a season ago.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Plattsburgh State will meet for the 12th time in series history on Saturday. The Cats and Cardinals square off for the first time since 1996. UVM owns a 9-2 record in the all-time series.

LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts opened up the 2023-24 campaign with a 67-55 victory over Merrimack on Monday (Nov. 6). Four Catamounts reached double figures in the win, with
Shamir Bogues producing a game-high 19 points.

HOME SWEET HOME
Vermont has won 12 straight home games dating back to last year's league-opening win over Bryant, which is the 15th-longest active streak in the country. The Cats were 13-1 (8-0 AE) at home last season, and 11-0 against conference opponents with America East Playoff results included. The Catamounts have gone 30-1 at Patrick Gym over the last two seasons and are 225-51 (.815 pct.) in Burlington since the start of the 2002-03 season.

BOGUES' DEBUT
Shamir Bogues knocked down his first six baskets as a Catamount in his UVM debut on Monday. The transfer from Tarleton State scored 17 first-half points in his 19-point outing. He was 7-for-9 from the field, 1-for-1 from deep, and 4-for-4 from the line.

MULTIPLE SIXTH MAN OF THE YEARS
The Catamounts are the only team in the country to have two reigning Sixth Man of the Years on its roster.
Aaron Deloney became the first player in America East history to win back-to-back Sixth Man of the Year honors a season ago. Transfer guard
TJ Long was named MAAC Sixth Man of the Year last season after averaging 10.5 points for Fairfield.

Vermont compete in the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Nov. 16, 17 & 19 at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C. The Catamounts open the tournament against reigning Colonial champions College of Charleston at 11 a.m. ET on Nov. 16. Fans can tune into the game live on ESPN 2.
