WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (17-10, 11-5) returns to Patrick Gym Wednesday night for their final home game of the regular season. The Catamounts will host Binghamton (7-18, 3-12) on Senior Night presented by the UVM Alumni Association. Rise to the Top is the presenting sponsor of Wednesday's contest. The action will air live on ESPN+ with Rob Ryan and Bernie Cieplicki on the call. Fans can also listen live with Cooper Boardman on AM 620 WVMT.

CATAMOUNTS CLINCH HOME PLAYOFF GAME
With NJIT's win over UMass Lowell Monday night the Catamounts clinched at least a top-four finish (with Stony Brook ineligible for postseason) in the conference. Vermont will host its first home playoff game since 2001 on Saturday, March 5 at 2:30 p.m. in the America East Quarterfinals. Ticket information will be announced soon.

GAME WORN JERSEY AUCTION CLOSES WEDNESDAY AT 6 PM
Last Wednesday, the women's basketball team wore special edition Rally Against Cancer jerseys in their 61-58 win over New Hampshire. The jerseys are accented with lavender to represent the ongoing fight against all cancers. The jersey auction will close Wednesday at 6 p.m. Bid now at

THREE STARTERS IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Three of Vermont's four starters who have started every game this season –
Emma Utterback (12.7 PPG),
Josie Larkins (11.4 PPG) and
Anna Olson (12.1 PPG) are leading the Catamounts all scoring in double figures. All three of them play an average of 30.3 minutes or more per game. One of the three of them has led UVM in scoring in 24 of its 27 games this season and each of the last 11 games.

Delaney Richason reaches double figures in scoring. On Wednesday, Richason had 15 points for UVM in their 61-58 win.

LARKINS HAVING A CAREER-YEAR FROM DOWNTOWN
Larkins is 21st in the NCAA with 67 made three-pointers this season. She is shooting 39.4 percent from downtown which is 52nd in the country. She has made 227 career three-pointers which ranks second all-time at UVM. In games where Larkins hits three or more three-pointers in a game UVM is 9-2 this season.

Larkins needs two more three-pointers to tie the program single season record with 69 triples. Larkins hit 69 during the 2019-20 campaign as did Ashleigh Cuncic '06 in the 2004-05 season.

UTTERBACK LEADING THE OFFENSE
Junior guard
Emma Utterback is second in America East this season with 102 assists. She averages 3.8 per game. Her assist-to-turnover ratio is 1.92 this season which ranks 60th in the NCAA. In conference play Utterback is second in league scoring with 14.1 points per game.

ALL STARTS ON THE DEFENSIVE END
UVM is third in America East and 11th in the NCAA on the defensive end this season giving up 53.7 points per game. In the Catamounts 17 wins this year they've given up just 47.7 points per game. Vermont is also second in America East averaging 4.6 blocked shots per game.

CATAMOUNTS BACK TO THEIR WINNING WAYS
With two games left in the regular season Vermont has reached 17 regular season wins for the first time since the 2009-10 campaign. UVM also has 11 conference wins which is their best conference mark since the same season. UVM hasn't been above .500 in a full conference season since the 2009-10 campaign either.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats come to Burlington having won two straight games in league play for the first time this season. On Saturday, the Bearcats hosted and beat UMass Lowell 71-54 and they followed that up with a 63-46 win at Hartford Monday evening.

Birna Benonysdottir now leads the Bearcats in scoring this season with 14.7 points per game. She had 15 points against Vermont on February 9 and has been in double figures in every game since. Including the UVM tilt she's averaging 15.5 points per game in her last six games.

Binghamton is tied for first in the NCAA with the best three-point defense in the country. Teams are shooting just 23.2-percent from downtown against BU. The Bearcats held UVM to just two made three-pointers in their first matchup. It remains the only league contest
Josie Larkins didn't hit a three in.

Vermont leads the all-time series with Binghamton 23-17. Over the last five matchups UVM is 3-2. During the 2019-20 campaign the home teams won each game while during the 2018-19 campaign the road teams won each contest.
