SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Merrimack has lost seven straight games heading into Sunday's matchup. The Warriors fell to Boston University (L, 68-54) in their most recent outing on Friday. Merrimack has already played one America East opponent this season, suffering a 77-51 loss at UMass Lowell on Nov. 30. Jordan Minor has averaged 18.3 points in three games this season, and scored 21 against the Terriers on Friday night. Ziggy Reid has also averaged double figures, posting 13.8 points per game.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Merrimack meet for the first time on Sunday afternoon. The Catamounts will play their first NEC opponent since 2019 when they beat Central Connecticut State 81-49 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

UVM heads back on the road for its ninth game away from Burlington this season. The Catamounts' strength of schedule ranks No. 63 in the nation by KenPom, 89 spots ahead of the next closest America East school.

The Catamounts have faced four top-100 teams ranked by KenPom through 10 games this season, and have two more left on the docket. The Catamounts will host Toledo (No. 92) and visit Miami (No. 44) to close out non-conference play.

PLAYING AGAINST TOUGH DEFENSES
Vermont has faced some of the toughest defenses in the nation so far this season, including Saint Mary's who ranks No. 9 in adjusted defensive efficiency. USC and Yale are also ranked in the top-50 in adjusted defensive efficiency. The average adjusted defensive efficiency of Vermont's opponents ranks No. 33 in the nation.

11 DIFFERENT SCORERS
All 11 Catamounts who checked in to Thursday's game against NVU-Lyndon recorded points in the victory. Vermont had five scorers in double figures, including
Robin Duncan,
TJ Hurley,
Sam Alamutu, and
Perry Smith Jr. who all produced career-highs.
Jorge Ochoa recorded his first career points, and
Michel Ndayishimiye added six points in his first regular season game at Patrick Gym.
